The Public Yet Private Face
From its west-facing front side, the house presents a modern yet elegant face to the street. The low-slung section conceals an office and makes for a beautiful backdrop on which a preserved 70-foot Dutch Elm tree casts its shadow. The narrow window section is set high to provide privacy (critical given the traffic from the street and a busy Metropolitan Market directly opposite).
