Shopping Trip: The Inspired Ava Chair from Roche Bobois Merges Form and Function

French company Roche Bobois (Downtown, 1015 Western Ave.; 206.332.9744) just debuted their sleek Ava chair ($499), which has strong ties to Chinese forms, traditional furniture, and battle cries, with the shape being modeled after tales in Chinese history. It has flowing curves made of polycarbonate and can be used inside or out. Right now the chair comes in three neutral colors, but we've heard rumors of some bold hues being introduced later in the year. We'll keep you posted!
