Shopping Trip: Foscarini's Nature-Inspired Birdie Lamp Lands in Seattle

Printer-friendly version

Italian designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba tapped into nature with their latest Birdie Lamp for Foscarini, conveniently designed as a floor ($747) or table ($653) model. Available at Light Matters (905 Western Ave., Seattle; 206.382.9667), the lamp's inspiration was a slim tree with a simple branch inviting a little chick to land and stay. Our favorite part? The lamp cleverly dims by lightly touching the protruding limb, as if a little birdie was landing on it.
